About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Piping Designer with specialized expertise in AVEVA E3D. In this role, you will be responsible for creating complex 3D piping and equipment layouts, routing pipe systems safely and efficiently, and ensuring all designs align with project specifications, P&IDs, and industry codes. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to eliminate design clashes and produce construction-ready deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
  • 3D Modeling & Routing: Develop accurate, high-fidelity 3D models of piping systems, equipment layouts, and inline components using AVEVA E3D.
  • Pipe Support Design: Model framework supports, anchors, guides, and ancillaries in the E3D environment based on company and project standard standards.
  • Deliverable Extraction: Generate and verify detailed 2D drafting deliverables, including Piping General Arrangement (GA) drawings, orthographics, layout plans, and isometric extractions.
  • P&ID Interpretation: Review and accurately translate process requirements from P&IDs and line lists into the 3D piping environment.
  • Clash Detection & Resolution: Utilize AVEVA E3D clash detection tools and Navisworks to identify and resolve spatial interferences with structural, civil, and electrical components.
  • Material Take-Offs: Assist in preparing and updating material take-offs (MTOs) and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) directly from the model.
  • Field Walkdowns (If Applicable): Participate in site visits and field walkdowns to verify existing "as-built" conditions, locate tie-in points, and incorporate laser scan data into the E3D model.
  • Interdisciplinary Coordination: Actively participate in design reviews, sharing model snapshots to proactively resolve engineering challenges alongside civil, structural, and process teams.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: Technical diploma, Associate’s degree in Engineering Design/Drafting,
  • Experience: Piping design within heavy industrial sectors (e.g., Oil & Gas, Chemical, Power Generation, Offshore, or Renewables).
  • Software Proficiency: Advanced, hands-on experience with AVEVA E3D is mandatory.
